Uganda offers a variety of wildlife safari options that allow visitors to discover and explore the country’s

The main activities while on a safari in Uganda are:
Gorilla trekking: This is one of the main highlights of a safari in Uganda. Visitors can trek through
the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to see the rare
mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that requires a
permit to be purchased in advance. Gorilla trekking can be conducted all year around in Uganda,
Rwanda and Congo..
Chimpanzee tracking: Similar to gorilla trekking, visitors can track chimpanzees in their natural
habitat in Kibale National Park or Budongo Forest Reserve. Chimpanzee Tracking is an art of
taking a stroll through the forests in order for one to be able to catch a glimpse of the
fascinating primates the swing around the forest branches
Game drives: Visitors can take a traditional game drive in one of Uganda’s many national parks,
such as Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, or Kidepo Valley National
Park. These drives allow visitors to see a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and
antelopes.
Bird watching: Uganda is home to over 1,000 unique species of birds, making it a birdwatchers
paradise. Visitors can go on guided birdwatching tours in various national parks or reserves,
such as Mabamba Swamp, which is known for its shoebill stork population. Bird watching can
also be conducted at Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. ·
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park birds including; include; Cape Robin, White-starred Robin,
Brown Woodland Warbler, Cinnamon Bracken Warbler, White-starred Robin, Rwenzori Batis,
Greater Double-collared Sunbirds, Archer’s Robin Chat among many others.
Nature walks: Visitors can take guided nature walks in various national parks or reserves to
explore the diverse vegetation and learn about the different plant and animal species.

Cultural tours: Visitors can go on cultural tours to visit local communities and learn about
traditional ways of life. This includes visiting local markets, craft centers, and schools.

see the wildlife and enjoy the scenery. This is a popular activity in Murchison Falls National Park.
